You can only open it by first fully pulling all the drawers out and then removing a panel from the top. I see straight away Granny never had the chance to hide her treasure under her dress and take it with her. The box is full of necklaces, rings, diamond pendants, earrings. Fingers trembling, I take everything out from the compartment and put it in my uniform’s apron pocket.
